Happy Holidays!

Hi everyone! Happy holidays! I absolutely love this time of year where we spend quality time with our families, cook up a storm, eat till our bellies hurt, look forward to be spoiled with presents, and count our blessings for the year. In the spirit of Christmas and the festive season, I thought I should also dress accordingly =)

The Fur Jacket Wrap Up

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a fantastic Wednesday so far and looking forward to Christmas next week! I would say that NYC has given us some great winter days so far. Most days are cold, but still sunny with clear blue skies. I love to wrap myself in a fur jacket on days like these to shield from the wind and to keep warm. You will be pleasantly surprised just how much body heat fur is able to retain!

Meet the Frenchie!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! Hope you are having a wonderful day so far! So...what happens when the rain stops and the sun peeps out?...French bulldogs (aka Frenchies) are out and about! Ha... I know that it will be a little while before I can get one of my own, so, in the mean time, I brought out my Frenchie on a sweater. I think this little guy has got a bit of a tough attitude, but we can work with that =P

The Colorful Color-blocking

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! To those who celebrated Thanksgiving, hope you all had a fantastic time with your family and loved ones. Our Thanksgiving dinner was turkey plus all the trimmings...yummo! It was hubby's first time cooking the turkey and I must admit, it was a huge success and everyone loved it!

Waffle Print with Fur Warmer

Hi everyone! Hope you are enjoying your weekend and are looking forward to Thanksgiving next week. I am super excited and just drinking in all the festivities. In light of celebrations, I grabbed my cheerfully colored canary yellow waffle knit today, paired it with a chunky neck warmer, a pair of tall suede boots, and I was ready for a casual day out.

Fly Away...

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a fabulous day filled with lots of sunshine! I apologise for this delayed post. Hubby and I have been super busy lately as we are preparing our move to NYC!! It's a huge move for the two of us, despite the challenges ahead, we are more excited about the adventures we will experience in the new city. I am definitely looking forward to updating my blog from the fashion capital of the world! As a departing post from Melbourne, I wanted to put on something a little more special to honour our beautiful home city. We may be thousands of miles away, but Melbourne, you are never far from our hearts...

Military Inspired: Olive Green

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a fantastic day! What a glorious day today in Melbourne, not a cloud in the sky and the sun is shining down on us like summer is already here! Excited, I wanted to experiment with a military inspired colour - Olive Green. This blouse did the trick and fixed my colour craving for the day. I also adore the neat line of gold spike stud buttons that form a uniform line down the front of the blouse =)

Casual Maroon Ruffles and Navy Spots

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Just saying a quick hello and hoping you are having a fabulous day! I chose a slightly darker and richer colour scheme outfit today, and went with subtle maroon ruffles with whimsical navy polka dots. I thought they were fitting for a day outdoors, under the sun, against the cool spring breeze =)

Neutral Colour-blocking

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Since the weather is so pleasant today, I decided on a simple, neutral toned, colour-blocking dress. This dress is just a dream to wear. The fabric is silky smooth but not clingy, and it grazes nicely over the body. The thoughtful neutral colour combination  makes the dress extremely versatile and easy to pair. I also think it is the perfect canvas to incorporate a dazzling statement necklace! =)

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a fantastic day and week so far! Today, I'm just letting the bow do all the talking =) Do not underestimate the power of a beautiful bow, when it is done right, it might be all you need. It makes a perfect decoration, a fantastic conversation starter and let's not forget...it is the foundation of a highly anticipated and brilliant gift =)

Happy Botanical

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a wonderful day! I greeted the first few days of spring with these what I call "happy botanical pants". I absolutely adore the colour mix and the vibrant floral patterns scattered throughout. They looked so peppy hanging there on the shelf, I could almost hear the light happy Spring humming (haha...yes, vivid imagination =P). She definitely had me at hello and I happily took her home, eager to showcase her at the start of the new season.

Neon Rose & Snowcat Print

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! I have been loving the weather in Melbourne lately. No coats or jackets needed during the day, ample amount of sunshine and a light breeze...Spring is coming! So excited, and in preparation to welcome the warm weather I wanted to wear something bright today. Neon rose, the pinky hue paired with something a little fierce to toughen up the look.

Purple Sparkles with Rose Gold Accent

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great week so far! One of  my favourite colours of all time is purple. It is closely associated to nobility, royalty and luxury. I just adore the colour depth of purple, it's like a great mystery novel! =P Today, I decided to play with some purple sparkles, using rose gold as a highlight. I love the way these two colours work together. Silver would have also paired nicely with purple, but I was looking for a more subtle and harmonious blend of colours. I thought an injection of rose gold would be the recipe for a more understated glamour.

Pretty in Pink

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a wonderful day so far! I am a little sad that the Olympic games have finally come to an end. It has been an emotional but wonderful two weeks, full of joy and tears. I am a huge fan of the games with deep admiration and respect for all the athletes. They put in so much physically and emotionally to compete for their countries! I am looking forward to the next games in Rio! While watching rhythmic gymnastics one night, I was captivated by all the movements, the gymnasts move with such grace and ease! They were simply divine to watch! Inspired by their elegance, I wanted to feature an outfit that is modest and feminine =)

Citron & Satin

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great day! I paid a visit to the local museum the other day to soak up some artistic creativity. A picture tells a thousand words, which made it a marvelous visual learning experience for me. There is just such a rich connection between the artist's brush strokes and the story, history, as well as the culture that these paintings have tried to capture. An inspirational excursion calls for some rich colours and textures.

Denim on Denim

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a great week so far! Last weekend I went out for a little adventure in the park. I'll admit, it has been a while since I last climbed a tree, and I had such a ball doing it! It brought back waves of great memories as a child, playing in the park with friends after school. I thought a denim outfit top to bottom would be perfect for an action-packed day.

Boy meets Girl

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Just saying a quick hello and hoping you are having a fabulous day! I'm experimenting with something a little different today. I'm playing around with a few contrasting textures and colours in juxtaposition, trying to incorporate both masculine and feminine features in an entire outfit. I thought a striped shirt and a black vest would be a great place to start. Sprinkle some feminine touches here and there to soften the look and...voila!

Coral Pink Crush

Hi everyone, happy Monday! What beautiful weather Melbourne has given us over the weekend, really can't ask for much more. If this is a taste of what's to come in spring, then I am most definitely ready for some more! It's such a treat in winter, but when the weather is this comfortable, I like to enjoy a weekend coffee/brunch alfresco style, basking in the sunshine, people watching, and just being grateful for all the wonderful cafes in Melbourne. I did exactly that over the weekend; my coral pink blazer also enjoyed the great outdoors, catching a cool breeze in the warm sun.

Pencil Skirt with Paisley Fun

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great Thursday so far! Today, I want to share with you one of my current favourite pencil skirts. The print is just gorgeous and the colour...delicious! =) A pencil skirt is an old friend in almost every girl's wardrobe. It is sophisticated, super versatile, and flattering on most body types due to its ability to accentuate a woman's natural curves. You can dress it conservatively in the office, wear it glamorously with a bit of sparkle, tone it down in a casual t-shirt combo, or find it in a casual material such as denim to wear to a low-key weekend outing. Whatever the occasion, it is an easy option to find something to pair with. This is why the pencil skirt is such a favourite and considered to be part of every girl's wardrobe essentials.

Spot the Difference

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Hope you had a beautiful weekend and are ready to tackle another busy week ahead! Mondays are always a little harder, but it is still important to set the tone right for the rest of the week. A dash of colour and a playful pattern always sets me on a great path, so today I decided to play with  whimsical polka dots in different sizes. Unsure if this spotty approach from top to bottom would work, I decided to take a chance anyway, hoping this fashion risk would lead to a pleasant surprise rather than baring a  close resemblance to a lady bug. The verdict? Phew...I was happy that there was enough differences to avoid making the connection =P

Fresh Peppermint Tweed

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Hope you are having a lovely day! Just a quick post today to show you a super fresh coloured tweed jacket that will be great for the upcoming transitional season. Whenever I see a tweed jacket, it's difficult for me to walk on by without taking notice. Yes, I am a softy when it comes to tweed =P I like to examine its colour mix, fabric texture, as well as assessing its structural integrity and fit. But more than anything, I actually like to keep an eye out for any interesting additions or adaptation features that I like to call "sparkling personalities". These are what I consider the key ingredients of differentiation and uniqueness. This baby blue coloured tweed jacket caught my attention when I was browsing in NYC. She sat peacefully on the shelf and smiled at me coolly, waiting to be acknowledged...

Neon Mish Mash

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Hope you had a relaxing weekend! I love having great weather over the weekend. It's just perfect for some outdoor action, particularly if you spend most of the week like me cooped up inside an office building. Since the weather was so pleasant, I thought I should also bring out some cheerful colours to play. Even the thought of mouthwatering colours was refreshing, after weeks of grey skies and gloomy forecast. As I scanned my wardrobe to get ready, this little dress with pockets of eye-catching neon colours popped out at me. The unique splashes of lively and playful neons are a sweet reminder that spring will soon be here! Yay! =)

Arabesque Printed Pants

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Hope you are looking forward to your weekend! It's been a monstrous week for me at work and this is only the start of it, so you can imagine how excited I am about the coming weekend. A sunny day in Melbourne today and that's perfect even for a cold winter's day. I fell in love with patterned pants this winter and have been testing them out religiously. You can also check out my leopard pattern jeans styled here and floral jeans styled hereThe latest pair to add to my collection is this beautiful arabesque patterned trousers. I love the fact that she is casual and classy at the same time, you can dress her up or tone her down. Red Peplum with Blackjack

Hi everyone! Despite the dreary start, I hope you are having a fabulous Monday! Winter is such a great time of the year to let your accessories come out to play, and incorporate them as winter highlights to your wardrobe. Hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and boots just to name a few, but don't forget your stockings and even umbrellas! You can put together some really fun and interesting looks using accessories as accents. I came across these playful stockings the other day, immediately, I thought to myself that I should wear them to a fancy dress up party. Maybe a character from "Alice in Wonderland"? As it turns out, I didn't need an occasion to wear them because they are so blithe to wear any day!
