Fashionable Eyewear

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a stress free Thursday! This has been such a crazy busy week that I am most definitely looking forward to the weekend! Next week, I'm flying to NYC...yay!! Super excited and looking forward to catching up with all my friends there and soaking up some warm northern hemisphere weather!

Ok, I am an accessories girl through and through. I love my fashion jewellery pieces, bags, clutches, shoes, scarves, headbands...the list goes on. When I truly love something, I have a habit of collecting them (some of you may remember the handkerchief collection that I start many moons ago =P) My recent love?...Glasses! Not the nerdy ones that you are picturing in your head right now, but the modern, sleek and trendy ones that you can wear both functionally to improve your sight, and/or enjoy as a fashion accessory to add interest or complement your ensemble. So when my wonderful friend and eyewear guru generously offered me to try out some of the beautiful glasses at Henderson's Optical, I thought, it would be so rude of me to refuse =P

Metallic Tweed with Wide Leg Pants

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Hope you had a great start to the week! Following from the highly viewed posting of the casual tweed jacket (styled here), I wanted to share with you another one of my favourite tweed jackets in a different style. This little metallic beauty is a little less casual, a touch more mature and glamorous. She particularly enjoys the city night life and dinners with candle lights, as these are the times when she can best show off her 'sparkling' personality =P I personally find her colour, structure and even the sparkles like a well coordinated symphony. The demure champagne tone sets the perfect backdrop for some weaved metallic magic, without being too overpowering and gaudy. To complete the look, I paired her with my high waist, wide leg pants. These pants have proved themselves to be not only comfy, but also petite friendly.

The Scarf Print Blazer

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Today is another happy blazer edition (floral one styled here). Melbourne has given us a beautiful day so far, mild with plenty of sunshine...Hooray (doesn't even matter if it's only temporary)! I took full advantage of it by going with thinner layers today, and felt incredibly liberated that I could get away with this delicate scarf print blazer in the middle of winter. This blazer is super light and I simply adore the bold pattern, the design and the cute button details. Sometimes just the little things will put a big smile on my face! =)

Green with Envy

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Hope you all had a fantastic and relaxing weekend! I thought I was going to get some time to relax, unfortunately that did not eventuate as I was busy as a bee, spending the whole weekend rushing from place to place! On a more exciting note, last week, I welcomed the newest colourful member to join my pants family. This family is currently undergoing rapid expansion in preparation for winter, and I am delighted to have found a green pair to add to the current repertoire. I love the beautiful shade of crisp kelly green, making it almost impossible not spot her from a mile =). She is well structured, finely tailored, and the material is quite polished. The search for a pair of well fitted and flattering pants never stops. You know it's a keeper when you find one that also displays some strong colour personality!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Oh boy, I had such a busy, eventful and emotional week. Absolutely cannot wait to kick off the weekend tomorrow night! It's been a while since I last talked about office-wear, so I thought I would share with you today, one of my current favourite office pairings. I am a real believer in bringing out fresh colours when we need them the most, and there is no better time than winter. Today, I decided to go with my magenta coloured pencil skirt. I absolutely adore this colour and anything with that hue. It reminds me of the pretty azalea flowers!

Mixing Tangerine Dots with Stripes

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend! It has been such a busy weekend for me, as a result, I'm actually feeling a little tired, so Monday has been a bit of a slow start for me. I needed a new way to energise the day...solution? Tangerine! Well, maybe not eating one but dressing in that Spring fresh and vibrant colour sure did the job. Lately, I have been really into mixing various textures, colours, and particularly patterns together. So today, I tried mixing dots with stripes!

Animal Print-on-Print

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great Thursday! I've been loving the weather for the last couple of days. Miraculously, Melbourne is welcoming back Autumn with mild temperatures, no rain, and finally some sunshine action! Yay!! For the last week or so, we've had some horrible weather conditions, which at times is definitely questionable whether we even had Autumn. Now that we are back on track, it felt right again! Today (being such a nice day), I wanted to experiment with "animal print-on-print" (this term is totally made up by me, but inspiration from tone-on-tone =)). 

Black & White with added Sparkle

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Ok, so winter is definitely here because the temperature continues to drop, and the rain periods are getting heavier and more frequent. It was only a couple of weekends ago that I could still walk around in short-sleeves or even sleeveless tops, and now...summer is like a distant dream, replaced quickly by grey clouds, chilly winds and mild drizzles throughout the day. The silver lining?...well, rare moments of warmth when the rain takes a break and the sun peeps out, wrapping yourself in a cozy knit and enjoying a hot chocolate =)  I love the simple things in everyday life, and they will continue to put a smile on my face no matter how cold the weather gets!

Dressing in Full Bloom

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great Thursday! Continuing my love for all things floral, my latest floral family member is this super cute and colourful blazer. I discovered her unintentionally during a casual shopping trip. She was one of those that "spoke to me" and I happily took her home without hesitation! I was casually browsing when at the corner of eye, I caught a glimpse of something interesting, a flicker of colour and a spark of unique personality. I wasn't sure exactly what it was, but there was something in the colour choices, combination and pattern that definitely captivated my attention. I immediately put down what I was inspecting at the time, pushed my way through a swarm of busy bodies, eagerly moving towards the object of my curiosity, for a closer examination. There, amongst the layers of prevalent fashion pieces, peeped the corners of what resembled a multi-coloured floral blazer. I swiftly picked her up to assess her potential visually, and carefully inspected the make-up and texture. I must say, she was more stunning up close and personal, and the rest as they say is history...
