When I first spotted my arabesque beauty, I didn't think she would work, but in all fairness, I thought she had potential. She was somewhat an interesting case for me, and certainly aroused enough curiosity for me to at least give her a go. I thought the pattern was entertaining, colour combination versatile and a clean cut profile that would be suitable to many different occasions. To be honest, the very first thought that came to my mind was how she reminded me of vintage floral wall paper you would use as the backdrop of your study or your bedroom.
Hesitant to fully commit, I decided to make the purchase, take her home and sit on it for a while. Maybe take her out for a little walk and see if I could be fully persuaded. So I did, and have since cut off her tags (normally a good indication that she's here to stay for the long haul =P). I think these arabesque pants will get many wears throughout this winter, and well into the transitional seasons too.
If you have a favourite pair of patterned pants, please share! I'd be delighted to see your favourites and how you styled them!

I love your style and your Celine bag. May I ask what colour that is please. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi there! Thank you so much for your kind words and visiting the blog!! This little beauty is the Celine Souris Grey Mini Luggage Bag. I absolutely adore her! I was told that it's the only colour in that size, that comes with white stitching. A great contrast! Let me know if you want to know anything else =)
DeleteThanks so much for your reply. I love the Souris color. I'm trying to get my hands on the Micro size. I think they have just come out with that size recently. I'm sourcing it overseas and biting the bullet in having to pay tax & customs to get it to Australia. Wish me luck!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi there, apologies, the one I featured in this post is actually in micro size (not mini). Micro sizes are incredibly difficult to get, so if you can get your hands on one, don't let it go! :) If you are flying to Europe any time soon, I would wait to get it there so you can get your VAT (tax) back. Otherwise, sometimes when supplier ship expensive items over, they are nice enough to reduce the actual price of the item so you might not need to pay for tax. Good luck!! =)
DeleteThanks Charlotte. This is good to know in terms of sizing. When you said yours was a mini, I just figured you must be really tall from your pics!! I'm rather petite so I think the mini size would be too overwhelming on me. I'm originally from Melbourne but living in Perth at present where Celine is as rare as hen's teeth!! Thanks again for the information. Keep up your great style and lovely smile :-)
DeleteHello! Thanks for your kind words! :) I am quite petite too and when I tried on the mini, it just overwhelmed my frame, so micro is definitely a good size for petites. Celine is a little difficult to find. I got mine in NYC and that was from the only Celine store there, but the quality is just superb and such a classic that you will enjoy for many years to come! Great investment and I highly recommend it! =)
Deletereally interested post, thanks for the information
