Citron & Satin

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great day! I paid a visit to the local museum the other day to soak up some artistic creativity. A picture tells a thousand words, which made it a marvelous visual learning experience for me. There is just such a rich connection between the artist's brush strokes and the story, history, as well as the culture that these paintings have tried to capture. An inspirational excursion calls for some rich colours and textures.

This casual duo of a citron coloured knit and silky smooth satin is definitely a contrast in fabric material. I saw a lot of potential in these satin pants. Its shiny, lustrous surface means that it won't be too difficult to dress it up with a fancy top, such as lace,  for a sophisticated look, or pair it with materials like cotton to achieve a more casual feel. I adore the way the material just glides over your skin, so smooth and comfortable! Since satin is a lightweight fabric with a fine weave, it does drape very nicely. This is definitely a plus when you want that loose-fitting garment with the soft, flowing lines.

What are some of your favourite fabrics?
