Twittering on Tweed

Hi Everyone! Happy Thursday! Hubby and I had such a wonderful dinner experience at Vue de Monde Melbourne the other night. A truly great restaurant puts a high emphasis on creating that unique and engaging dining experience, not just limited to the taste and the presentation of food. They often like to take you on a journey, from the minute you step into the restaurant till the very end farewell at the end of the night, and sometimes even beyond. After a scrumptious and innovative degustation dinner of 10 courses (including dessert), the icing on the cake is the complimentary take home goodie bag ("For the morning after") that contained all the elements of a delicious gourmet continental breakfast. How thoughtful and memorable! Contrary to this modern cuisine journey, I wanted to reminisce an old fashion icon today - The tweed jacket.

A lilac Corset for the Perfect Date

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Hope you all had a relaxing weekend and are now ready for another brand new week! Today is a very special day in my diary. One year ago today, I put on a pretty little white gown, walked down the aisle, smiled and said "I do" to my best friend - hubby dearest, in front of our families and closest friends. It was one of the happiest days of our lives and we were and still are so blessed to always have our families and friends surrounding us. I know this is a fashion dedicated blog, so I want to thank you  for letting me share with you some of the best moments of my life :)

A Rosy Harmony...

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Hope you had a great week thus far and are easing yourself to the upcoming weekend. No doubt by now, you would have realised that I love colours. The bolder they are, the more I am attracted to them. One of my favourite ways to wear colours is through contrast, and I have religiously applied this method on countless occasions in the past. I have always felt that this was the best way to wear colours on me and love the fact that contrasting (or complementary) colours have the ability to intensify each other, thus creating a stronger and more vivid impression. Recently, I have given myself a challenge. I wanted to try colour harmonisation!

Ballerina Skirt for the Modern Girl

Hi everyone! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. If you went to watch the annual Melbourne Grand Prix, I hope the races were exhilarating. They certainly sounded like it from where I live. I could turn on the TV, mute the sound and the noise outside almost perfectly matched the motion on TV! Contrary to the F1 theme, I decided to "race" around the day in my ballerina skirt =)

Vintage Inspired Floral Bib Necklace

Hi everyone! Hope you are all enjoying this short week! I have been fighting off flu symptoms for the last couple of days and as part of the self-recovery process, I decided that I needed some cheerful colours and a good dose of nature (my home-made secret recipe to any common colds and flu =P). Nature has a great way of opening our eyes, elevating our moods and healing our wounds. Amazingly what we wear, can also determine how we feel internally. As a cheer up, I put on this vintage inspired floral bib necklace and combined it with a pair of more modern and polished mustard jeans...Flu begone!

The Teal Deal

Hi Everyone! Hope you are enjoying yourself and having some fun at the moomba festival during this long  weekend. I must admit, it has been a while since I last went on one of those rides, but the fireworks are always a crowd pleaser at the end of the night. During one of my recent shopping trips, I picked up this teal blazer. The fabric is relatively light weight, perfect for transitional seasons and I just adore the black silk lapels. I think that was the selling point for me. Since taking her home I have not regretted the decision, as the colour and the style of the blazer are surprisingly versatile in pairing.

The Battle Between Chambray & Denim

Hi Everyone! Happy Thursday! Now that the rain is over and the sun's out again, I decided to pull out my soft washed chambray shirt the other day, and added on a pair of hot pink jeans to brighten the overall look. I love denim, but good denim anything is hard to come by. Ever since denim came back into fashion, I have been on the look out for a great denim shirt, but was not convinced that the stiffness or toughness of the material would be comfortable. It didn't take long before I solved this problem with a chambray shirt =)

Let's Get Active!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday!! As we say good bye to summer, we welcome autumn, the season that marks the transition from summer into winter. I love all four seasons, but in particular, transitional seasons. Autumn colours are usually very rich, vibrant and textured, and the temperature around this time of the year is at a perfect balance of warmth and coolness. A fantastic time of the year to launch your active workout plan! =)

Bringing Back LBD with Pops of Colour

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! With Friday and the weekend in sight, no doubt some of us will be thinking about what to wear to the various weekend social calendar events. If you have a slightly more formal occasion to attend this weekend, the million dollar question "hmm...what should I wear?..." may have surfaced. With the recent rise of the LWD (Little White Dress), it appears that our beloved LBD (Little Black Dress) may have been slightly neglected and perhaps forgotten? Well, I certainly have not, and after so many years, it still is a favourite in my wardrobe.
