Hi everyone, happy Monday! Hope you are having an awesome week! I'm so sorry it's been a while since my last post, I have been a little MIA since getting back from Australia. I'm trying to get back to the swing of things now, so hopefully posting will become more regular. On a happier note, Spring is finally here! I'm heading to Cancun, Mexico this week and I can't wait to share my experiences with you. NYC has already experienced a couple of muggy days in between the cherry blossoms blooming and gelati in the park. I opted for some clean colors today and am definitely getting ready for this almost summer weather :)

The Contemporary Romper

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a wonderful week :) I went back to Australia for the past two weeks. It was so wonderful to see my family, catch up with great friends and enjoy the Aussie summer. It's always nice to be back home and take a break from this gruesome NYC winter, but now I miss summer! This outfit was taken near my home in Melbourne while I was on my way to drinks with friends.

Pop of Bright: Chartreuse Yellow

Hi everyone, happy Tuesday! Hope you are having an awesome week :) I am warming up the cold winter days with chartreuse yellow today. Just looking at this color makes me feel warmer and happier. I think it's crucial to introduce mood elevators such as vibrant colors during the frigid winter to remind us that we are more than half way through the cold, and spring is just around the corner.

Hi everyone, happy new year! Hope everyone's having a fabulous start to 2015! I must first apologize for being MIA, it has been a while since my last post. I went to Italy during Thanksgiving, came back from vacation, got caught up with work and all the general holiday craziness. Fall Cape

Hi everyone, hope you are having an awesome week! I'm embracing this season's cape trend and decided to pick one up and try it out. This little guy makes me feel very English and also reminds me of Sherlock Holmes. Now, I'm no detective, but it's not a mystery why the cape trend has been so popular ;)

Fall Essential Faux Fur Vest

Hi everyone, happy Tuesday! Hope you all had a scarily good Halloween :P I went to a pumpkin carving party a week ago and braced the cold in this fur vest. It was the first really chilly day of the season, and I guess there is no turning back from this point on. The cold is upon us and it's time to get cozy! I love a  good faux fur vest, it might not be enough in the middle of the NY winter, but for right now...it's just right :)

The Cropped Trench

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great week. I would like to start the blog by commemorating Oscar de la Renta, one of my all time favorite designers. I am deeply saddened by his passing. This great fashion icon and inspiration led me to live in this wonderful city of NY I now call home. RIP ODLR.

As the temperature gets noticeably chillier, I imagine there aren't many more bare leg days to go before having to put on stockings and knee high boots to keep warm. While we are still in this relatively mild and breezy weather, I wasted no time in enjoying my short trench jacket. I absolutely adore them and try to wear them as much as I can during transitional seasons.

Sunny Side Up

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday! We've been having a pretty mild summer until recently. It's gotten so hot, humid and uncomfortable in the city the past week that it feels like summer just started. To survive the humidity, light, breathable layers are a must ;) I've had this cheerful maxi skirt for a while, but never had the chance to take her out for a spin all summer, until now. She was definitely a great choice in this heat and a splash of enthusiastic optimism I needed for the week.

Something Blue...

Hi everyone, hope you are having an awesome week! Since we have been having such a beautiful summer so far with very little humidity, I thought it would be a great time to pull out one of my old favorites; the chambray shirt. This material could not be more perfect to transition into fall. It's light yet very versatile in layering and pairing. On a separate note, I realized that I've neglected a lot of my cute shorts all summer long, so today is definitely a shorts day! Gotta make sure that I can still squeeze in a few more shorts days ;)

Hi everyone, hope you are having an awesome week! I can't believe it's already August and summer is coming to an end. We are really lucky that this summer in NYC has been quite pleasant with many breezy days without too much humidity. We also went through a beautiful spring season this year with cherry blossoms that bloomed for weeks. As we approach fall, I thought it would be appropriate to start thinking about my fall wardrobe. It's not often that I wear black, but when I do, I love keeping the style classic and add in accent pieces :)

Maxi to Midi

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday! It's not often NYC summer days are breezy, but today is one of those days. I took full advantage of this weather and walked down the west side highway to catch the cool breeze and a beautiful sunset at dusk. When you live in NYC, I'm sure many would agree with me that space (especially closet space) is prime real estate, and a frequent issue for apartment dwellers. Having a highly efficient closet has always been a priority of mine and today I am wearing this maxi skirt that doubles as a midi dress. I love clothing pieces that are versatile with multiple functionality :)

The Shirt Dress

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great week! Work's been super busy, so it's definitely exciting to welcome the long weekend. What are your plans for the Independence Day long weekend? Last year I went to see the fireworks, but it was so crowded that I'm sure I saw more of everyone's heads than the fireworks :P This year I might try my luck on a rooftop somewhere. Let It Rain...

Hi everyone, hope you are having a fantastic week! They say April showers bring May flowers, I sure hope so, cos there's nothing worse than a whole weekend filled with continuous rain. What do you do when the weather is not going your way? Spend it indoors browsing the Brooklyn museum and more importantly, wear something that will instantly cheer you up. At least, that was my rainy day remedy :)

Pop of Red

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday! So, apparently I didn't get the memo that it was going to snow last weekend. Caught in a light flurry (which turned angry in a few hours time to heavy snow), I was saved by my ultra warm military style coat and cashmere lined gloves. I guess black & white was the theme for that day. I then added a pop of red to cheer me up on this cold winter's day and the endless snow storms we've been getting. Small size, but huge presence against winter white :)

Winter Layers

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday! Battling with the Polar Vortex in NYC, I am bundled in layers and in my trusty faux fur vest. Even in this freezing cold, I got sick of wearing jeans and thought today is going to be a dress day! I can truly say that the best weapon against the cold is layering and Uniqlo's heattech. This stuff really works, and the best part is you don't need to look like a marshmellow when you walk out of the house. I remember jokingly saying to my friend (at the start of winter) that I wanted to try going without heattech this winter, but when the temperature dropped, it didn't take me a second to put on my heattech. You really have to work with the weather and not against it :P

Outback Glam & Hellooooo 2014!

Hi everyone, happy 2014!! Hope this year is off to a fabulous start for you! I thought I would do something more fun for the first post of the year, so I got dressed up and switched out the usual urban jungle backdrop for some refreshing bush land scenery. It's important to start the year nice and fresh! This was taken while I was still in Melbourne, my home city. I had such a wonderful time back in Australia over Christmas and new year with my family and friends. There is really no place like home! :)

Summer Festivities

G'day from Australia! Hope you are having an awesome day and looking forward to the holidays!! I came back to Melbourne last week, and it's been so amazing just to be back at home with my family and friends. Melbourne is still as beautiful as I remember it and I am beyond excited to spend the next week or so catching up with everyone, soaking up some much needed Aussie sunshine and enjoying the company of my gorgeous home city. These colors are the essential building blocks of our wardrobe, so you really can't go wrong with them. I think a warmer palette of neutral colors is so effortless and very comforting on a day like today :)

The Perfect Skirt...

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great start to the week! I'm sorry posting has been a little slow lately. I recently started a new role and the hours have been a little crazy, but I'm enjoying the work and my team is super nice, which makes it that much more pleasant! :)

Today, I want to share with you one of my all time favorite wardrobe pieces...the perfect skirt. I'm sure in every girl's closet, there is that one gem (or a few, if you are super lucky ;)) that is dearly loved, greatly treasured and only makes a special appearance on those super important occasions. For me, it's this stunning Oscar de la Renta skirt...an absolute classy lady!

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great week! I've noticed a lot of checkerboard print in the shops lately and was intrigued to experiment with this trend. When I first spotted this print on clothing, I wasn't really sure how I felt towards it or even how I should wear it, but I was definitely very interested  in trying this slightly unconventional pattern.
