Hi everyone, happy Thursday! For those from the US, I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving with your family and ate lots of yummy turkey. I spent my Thanksgiving this year in Barcelona and I was beyond excited to explore this beautiful city, taste all the delicious local cuisine and enjoy a glass (or two) of the sangria over lunch. I did just that, and fell in love with everything Barcelona has to offer. Post on Barcelona highlights coming soon, I can't wait to share my travel photo journey with you all. Strappy Neon with High-Low Dress

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic Independence Day long weekend, and enjoyed taking some time off to relax and unwind. I went to see the Macy's fireworks and would highly recommend getting there early if you are keen to get a great spot, and don't fancy starring into the back of some tall guy's head. We didn't manage to leave the house early enough, so we were trapped in a sea of bodies, which at this time of the year, is really not a great idea. But, I was still happy just to be part of the action. I love a good show, and fireworks usually tops the chart! :)

The One Hit Wonder

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a great day! NYC is super hot today; summer is indeed here! Weather like this makes me wish that I was at a beach resort, sipping cocktails and chilling out by the pool. Instead, I battled through the heat and crowded streets of NYC on my way to work. This weather calls for a vacation outfit. I may not be lying on the beach of a fancy island somewhere far far away, but having the right frame of mind is good enough for now :)

The Perfect Skirt...

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great start to the week! I'm sorry posting has been a little slow lately. I recently started a new role and the hours have been a little crazy, but I'm enjoying the work and my team is super nice, which makes it that much more pleasant! :)

Today, I want to share with you one of my all time favorite wardrobe pieces...the perfect skirt. I'm sure in every girl's closet, there is that one gem (or a few, if you are super lucky ;)) that is dearly loved, greatly treasured and only makes a special appearance on those super important occasions. When I first spotted this print on clothing, I wasn't really sure how I felt towards it or even how I should wear it, but I was definitely very interested  in trying this slightly unconventional pattern.

The print is just gorgeous and the colour...delicious! =) A pencil skirt is an old friend in almost every girl's wardrobe. It is sophisticated, super versatile, and flattering on most body types due to its ability to accentuate a woman's natural curves. You can dress it conservatively in the office, wear it glamorously with a bit of sparkle, tone it down in a casual t-shirt combo, or find it in a casual material such as denim to wear to a low-key weekend outing. Whatever the occasion, it is an easy option to find something to pair with. This is why the pencil skirt is such a favourite and considered to be part of every girl's wardrobe essentials.

Fresh Peppermint Tweed

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Hope you are having a lovely day! Just a quick post today to show you a super fresh coloured tweed jacket that will be great for the upcoming transitional season. Whenever I see a tweed jacket, it's difficult for me to walk on by without taking notice. Yes, I am a softy when it comes to tweed =P I like to examine its colour mix, fabric texture, as well as assessing its structural integrity and fit. But more than anything, I actually like to keep an eye out for any interesting additions or adaptation features that I like to call "sparkling personalities". These are what I consider the key ingredients of differentiation and uniqueness. This baby blue coloured tweed jacket caught my attention when I was browsing in NYC. She sat peacefully on the shelf and smiled at me coolly, waiting to be acknowledged...

Fluffy, Warming, Fur Vest

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a fabulous Thursday! Melbourne has been extremely kind to us this week with the weather. Ok, so it's still chilly out there but at least the sun's out most days during the week, and everything is just so much better when the sun's out! =) As we move well and truly into winter, one wardrobe item I find that is glamorous but also incredibly functional is...the opulent fur vest. I purchased this luscious little number a while ago in preparation for the winter and have been waiting for the perfect climate to showcase her. As you can see, she thrives in the cold, strengthens against in the wind and embraces the "wild".

In Love with Pink Orchids

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed some wonderful sunshine that Melbourne has put on for us! I felt great over the weekend knowing that the bulk of the house move was completed. Whenever you move, no matter how pleased you are with the new place, you will always need some additional time to grow into the new abode to call it 'home'. I like to speed up this 'break in' process by buying a fresh bunch of flowers to put into the new house. To me, flowers bring a breath of life to the new home, and marks the start of a new beginning that lingers with a mild but delicious scent to savour for days to come. This time though, I didn't just bring home the traditional bunch of fresh flowers, instead, I thought a few beautiful stems of pink orchids will be even better. My orchids stood nice and tall in its pot, happily blossoming and flaunting its beauty for everyone to see =) Seeing the joy they projected and inspired by their intense flush of pink hue, this weekend, I decided to wear something in that same intense colour.

Winter Blossoms & Prada Baroque

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great Thursday! Just wanting to thank you for your patience with recent delays in updating the blog. I have been travelling in the last couple of weeks and since returning home, it has been an absolute chaos trying to move house. Having gone through this rather painful process, I am now more convinced than ever that 'Simple Living' shall be my new motto going forward in order to stay sane the next time I need to move again. I am just utterly amazed with the amount of possessions one is able to accumulate over time =P 

Now that I am back home and moved, postings will become more regular again. One of the harsh realities of coming back home is bracing this bone-chilled weather and the constant rain. Melbourne is not incredibly equipped to deal with cold weather because we are just not really "known" to have cold winters, despite the reality. To brighten the mood in this sombre weather, I pounced at the opportunity to wear something cheerful even if the sun only peeped out for a brief moment. I thought a splash of burnt orange with some floral printed jeans, along with my new favourite - the Prada Baroque sunglasses-, would suffice =)
