Animal print has been around the fashion block for quite some time now. The traditional leopard print has at some point in your life been incorporated into your wardrobe in some shape or form. Let it be that pretty leopard print scarf or those sexy wild cat print pumps or even that warm cosy leopard print coat you have safely stashed away, preparing for the cold wintery days.

A Dash of Mustard for Australia Day
Hi everyone! Happy Australia day! Hope you had a great day off and spent it chilling in the backyard with a traditional snag on the barbie and a beer in the stubbie :)
We celebrate our official national day annually on the 26th of January. This date commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove in 1788 and the proclamation at that time of British sovereignty over the eastern seaboard of New Holland. Since our national colours are green and gold, I thought I would do my part of honouring our beautiful country today by wearing something gold....well...close enough... :P

Golden Feathers as Statement Necklace
Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Wishing you all the prosperity in the year of the dragon! :)
In the spirit of celebration, I would like to introduce to you - the statement necklace. The human love affair with all things sparkly and beautiful is a long one, so when hubby presented to me this necklace (yes, hand picked by him), my heart skipped a beat. It was unique, intricate and beautiful all at the same time. I remember holding it in my hands, closely examining every detail of it and wondering how much work has gone in to this creation.

Casual blazer with golden beads
Today, I would like to make a second confession: I love blazers!!
I'll admit, I have a sizeable collection of casual and professional blazers stashed away in my closet. Why, I hear you ask? Well, I personally love the way they give your body some shape and structure, as well as their versatility in pairing (e.g., with dresses, pants, skirts, t-shirts, blouses, boots). It is a great layering piece for a classic silhouette and a polished look.

How to short-en your Monday-itis
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you are all having a great start of the week! :)
Monday is always a little harder for everyone, especially when you've had a great weekend. The prospect of going back to work is generally not welcomed by most of us. So, going back to work/school may require an extra dose of TLC. One of the things I love doing on days like this is to add a punch of colour to what I wear. Hopefully, the bright colours will lighten the mood or put everyone around you in a good mood!!

Back to Work, Back to Basics
With summer holidays coming to an end, going back to work has become the unavoidable reality for many. One of the things that helps to put me in the right frame of mind for work is selecting the appropriate attire, especially for the first day back in the office. The right outfit can really set a great tone for the rest of the year!

Queenstown: Chapel by the Lake
Many things that surround us everyday inspire me, and in different ways. Mother nature is definitely one that can surprise us with its beauty and power, and some times it just takes our breath away.
Recently, I was privileged to be invited to a very intimate wedding in Queenstown, New Zealand for a couple of days. It was my first time to Queenstown, but it was love at first sight! I am looking forward to going back and trying all the adventure sport!

Summer days: Cute suspenders t-shirt
Melbourne went through a massive heat wave in the last couple of days, with temperatures reaching 40⁰C or 104⁰F! Many went to the beach to embrace the sun, hoping to work on their tan or cool down in the water. I enjoyed the day chilling in the shade with a tropical flavoured Frosty Fruits, iced water and my Vogue magazines :)
In the beginning...
Welcome to my fashion diary everyone! =)
Australia is a truly beautiful country. We
are so lucky to be able to embrace wonderful weather all year around, be surrounded
by an endless stretch of coastline, and house a large variety of beautiful national
fauna and flora.
Whilst we are really quite special – being
the only continent and country – in the world, we are located in the southern
hemisphere, far away from most fashion capitals of the world. This also means our
seasons are completely opposite to most of the world, which makes following the
latest catwalk trends slightly more difficult (due to the 6 months time lag), unless
you are prepared to put on your killer knee high boots and opulent fur coats in
the middle of summer?!
