Neutral colors are what many consider to be safe colors. They give you the most bang for your buck because they are incredibility versatile, suit many different skin tones and go with almost anything. This makes them very powerful in pairing and hence, a trusty staple in our closets. I often like to mix neutrals with other colors to accentuate the non-neutral color or a certain aspect of the outfit, but every now and then, a full outfit in neutrals is a refreshing change. If you want to give the full neutral look a go, look out for unconventional cuts, materials and patterns to mix things up a bit, add some texture, as well as plenty of interest to your outfit. Just because the colors are neutral, doesn't mean the entire outfit has to be safe and predictable.
From one neutral lover to another, I hope in your closet of neutrals, you will find chic pairing inspirations that warm up even the coldest days! ;)

Thanks for the post! I just purchased this Zara two-toned skirt and wasn't exactly sure how to sport it, as I usually go for pencil skirts. Great idea, I'm now inspired :-)
