The One Hit Wonder

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a great day! NYC is super hot today; summer is indeed here! Weather like this makes me wish that I was at a beach resort, sipping cocktails and chilling out by the pool. Instead, I battled through the heat and crowded streets of NYC on my way to work. This weather calls for a vacation outfit. I may not be lying on the beach of a fancy island somewhere far far away, but having the right frame of mind is good enough for now :)

This summer, I'm definitely on the look out for comfy, light and breathable jumpsuits or rompers to wear. To me both are very low maintenance, excellent in the heat, and super cute. In case you are wondering what the difference is between jumpsuits and rompers: both are one-piece garments with either sleeved or strapless tops, however  jumpsuits have long pants, and rompers typically have shorts down the bottom (seen in this post). 

Choosing the right jumpsuit to flatter your figure can be tricky. I personally love both the solid color option, as well as the prints. I would however, highly recommend that you try it on to ensure a well tailored fit that is not overly tight or loose. If you have a small frame, you might want pants with a slightly slimmer fit to create a more flattering profile, rather than a free flowing wide-legged jumpsuit that comes with all the added material down the bottom. 

Today, instead of a cute LBD, I've opted for a simple but classic look with my LBJ (little black jumpsuit). Sometimes, it's the little changes that make a whole lotta difference! ;-)
