Boy meets Girl

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Just saying a quick hello and hoping you are having a fabulous day! I'm experimenting with something a little different today. I'm playing around with a few contrasting textures and colours in juxtaposition, trying to incorporate both masculine and feminine features in an entire outfit. I thought a striped shirt and a black vest would be a great place to start. Sprinkle some feminine touches here and there to soften the look and...voila!

Coral Pink Crush

Hi everyone, happy Monday! What beautiful weather Melbourne has given us over the weekend, really can't ask for much more. If this is a taste of what's to come in spring, then I am most definitely ready for some more! It's such a treat in winter, but when the weather is this comfortable, I like to enjoy a weekend coffee/brunch alfresco style, basking in the sunshine, people watching, and just being grateful for all the wonderful cafes in Melbourne. I did exactly that over the weekend; my coral pink blazer also enjoyed the great outdoors, catching a cool breeze in the warm sun.

Pencil Skirt with Paisley Fun

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great Thursday so far! Today, I want to share with you one of my current favourite pencil skirts. The print is just gorgeous and the colour...delicious! =) A pencil skirt is an old friend in almost every girl's wardrobe. It is sophisticated, super versatile, and flattering on most body types due to its ability to accentuate a woman's natural curves. You can dress it conservatively in the office, wear it glamorously with a bit of sparkle, tone it down in a casual t-shirt combo, or find it in a casual material such as denim to wear to a low-key weekend outing. Whatever the occasion, it is an easy option to find something to pair with. This is why the pencil skirt is such a favourite and considered to be part of every girl's wardrobe essentials.

Spot the Difference

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Hope you had a beautiful weekend and are ready to tackle another busy week ahead! Mondays are always a little harder, but it is still important to set the tone right for the rest of the week. A dash of colour and a playful pattern always sets me on a great path, so today I decided to play with  whimsical polka dots in different sizes. Unsure if this spotty approach from top to bottom would work, I decided to take a chance anyway, hoping this fashion risk would lead to a pleasant surprise rather than baring a  close resemblance to a lady bug. The verdict? Phew...I was happy that there was enough differences to avoid making the connection =P

Fresh Peppermint Tweed

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Hope you are having a lovely day! Just a quick post today to show you a super fresh coloured tweed jacket that will be great for the upcoming transitional season. Whenever I see a tweed jacket, it's difficult for me to walk on by without taking notice. Yes, I am a softy when it comes to tweed =P I like to examine its colour mix, fabric texture, as well as assessing its structural integrity and fit. But more than anything, I actually like to keep an eye out for any interesting additions or adaptation features that I like to call "sparkling personalities". These are what I consider the key ingredients of differentiation and uniqueness. This baby blue coloured tweed jacket caught my attention when I was browsing in NYC. She sat peacefully on the shelf and smiled at me coolly, waiting to be acknowledged...

Neon Mish Mash

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Hope you had a relaxing weekend! I love having great weather over the weekend. It's just perfect for some outdoor action, particularly if you spend most of the week like me cooped up inside an office building. Since the weather was so pleasant, I thought I should also bring out some cheerful colours to play. Even the thought of mouthwatering colours was refreshing, after weeks of grey skies and gloomy forecast. As I scanned my wardrobe to get ready, this little dress with pockets of eye-catching neon colours popped out at me. The unique splashes of lively and playful neons are a sweet reminder that spring will soon be here! Yay! =)

Arabesque Printed Pants

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! Hope you are looking forward to your weekend! It's been a monstrous week for me at work and this is only the start of it, so you can imagine how excited I am about the coming weekend. A sunny day in Melbourne today and that's perfect even for a cold winter's day. I fell in love with patterned pants this winter and have been testing them out religiously. You can also check out my leopard pattern jeans styled here and floral jeans styled hereThe latest pair to add to my collection is this beautiful arabesque patterned trousers. I love the fact that she is casual and classy at the same time, you can dress her up or tone her down. Versatile and functional wardrobe pieces are definitely welcomed in the current economic climate.

Red Peplum with Blackjack

Hi everyone! Despite the dreary start, I hope you are having a fabulous Monday! Winter is such a great time of the year to let your accessories come out to play, and incorporate them as winter highlights to your wardrobe. Hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and boots just to name a few, but don't forget your stockings and even umbrellas! You can put together some really fun and interesting looks using accessories as accents. I came across these playful stockings the other day, immediately, I thought to myself that I should wear them to a fancy dress up party. Maybe a character from "Alice in Wonderland"? As it turns out, I didn't need an occasion to wear them because they are so blithe to wear any day!
