Spring Gingham Trench

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday! What a beautiful spring day! Looks like we are taking a small break from the April rain for some much needed sunshine. I absolutely adore days like this where the temperature is perfect to throw on a light trench, and who can say no to some gingham? :P I've been a little busy lately with work. Between starting a new job, welcoming a new season and planning the next getaway, life has been a little chaotic. I think a splash of blue might just bring some calm and peace to keep me focused.

Trench coats are one of my favorite things to wear during transitional seasons. I was snubbed last fall with too little time to enjoy all the light layering pieces such as blazers and trench coats. I think this gingham print on a trench coat is a refreshing and more exciting take on where you would normally expect to find gingham. Don't get me wrong, I will always love a great gingham shirt (also see here).

I hope you are taking full advantage of the new season by enjoying that brisk walk to/from work (after months of coldness), sitting in the park to have your lunch, and don't forget, we still have longer and brighter days ahead! :)
