Something Wild

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday, hope you are having a wonderful week so far! I was feeling a little cheeky over the weekend and wanted to wear something light-hearted and cheerful. This ensemble is perfect for those casual weekend brunches and strolling around the city. A little animal power in this chilly weather is definitely a mood elevator and a fantastic weapon against the cold! :)

October and November are two of my favorite months of the year, and with the holidays in sight, what's not to be excited about?! I'm heading over to Barcelona at the end of this month, and can't wait to to explore this beautiful and historic city filled with stories and eminent architecture!

Back home in Melbourne, we celebrate the Melbourne Cup Carnival at this time of year. This tradition is taken very seriously and greatly embraced by the city, even the nation. Everyone dresses up beautifully to attend the carnival, especially the ladies with their pretty floral spring dresses, big fancy hats and facinators. You would not want to miss all the action on the race course or the fashion show at the show ground! Of course the real race - aka the race that stops a nation, is Australia's premier thoroughbred horse racing event, and us Aussies love to watch (and put in a cheeky tip now and then) on the horses.
