How to short-en your Monday-itis

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you are all having a great start of the week! :)

Monday is always a little harder for everyone, especially when you've had a great weekend. The prospect of going back to work is generally not welcomed by most of us. So, going back to work/school may require an extra dose of TLC. One of the things I love doing on days like this is to add a punch of colour to what I wear. Hopefully, the bright colours will lighten the mood or put everyone around you in a good mood!!

I personally love shorts. I think they are such a versatile item to have in your closet. They are fun, youthful and great to pair with so many things. I like to think of them as a mini, but minus the embarrassing bend-over effect that we all know too well.

Generally, shorts are accepted as casual wear, but with the right cut, material, colour and pairing, it can definitely produce an overall chic look. As fashion evolves over time, shorts are no longer just a functional piece of clothing to wear in the middle of summer months to keep cool, or  part of the acceptable school yard uniform for boys. They are slowly becoming something that deserves a spotlight of its own and the accent piece of an entire ensemble.

I have always been a fan of colourful things, but colourful shorts have never really been on my radar till recently.....and the verdict?...I love it!

Ok, so the uptake of shorts worn as part of the "acceptable" office/corporate attire is not quite there yet, but who knows, maybe some day soon, it might just become the next office trend, all thanks to you for introducing it first on a casual Friday! :)
