When it comes to travelling, comfort is my number one priority. You really don't want to let your clothing or shoes be a hindrance and prevent you from your exploration. Of course, aside from comfort, it'd be great if we could also look nice and travel in style. I always choose my travelling shoes carefully. Usually my most worn in pair of shoes, flats or sneakers. The boots I have on are the perfect heel height. They have also been worn down this winter, and are now in prime condition for hours of walking.
I also recommend travelling light and carrying less. So, a small bag containing just the essentials is perfect for a day out and about. I normally prefer a small cross body bag that comes zipped for extra security, which also leaves my hands free to take pictures or navigate maps.
Once you are comfortable and protected from the elements, you will be able to enjoy the great outdoors, exploring, wandering and maybe even trying to get lost on purpose (safely of course!). I did that a few times and managed to mingle with the locals and discovered some real gems of the city! If you are going some where soon, I wish you happy and safe exploration!!
