The Spring Chambray

Hi everyone! Hope you've had a lovely weekend and a great start to the week! I know it may not look or feel like spring yet, but I'm sure it's just around the corner! Now is the perfect time to start getting ready for this beautiful season ahead. So put away those heavy winter pieces and pull out your thinner layers, brighter colors and floral prints in preparation for those warm, breezy days. One of my favorite spring pieces is the trusty chambray shirt. I think they are super comfy, versatile and practical.

Chambray shirts are great to wear by themselves or as a layering piece to add texture and dimension to your outfit. They pair incredibly well with a wide variety of clothing and accessories for that casual and effortless look. For those who love denim and are wondering what the difference is between chambray and denim, check out this related post I wrote here.

For the cooler days, chambray shirts are great as a layering piece inside blazers, sweaters or jackets. For warmer months in spring or summer, I personally prefer my chambray shirts in a lighter shade and really enjoy wearing them by themselves with shorts, skirts or pants. Today, I decided to keep things clean and fresh with a light wash chambray shirt. Simple outfits that really bring out the accessories as accents, are one of my favorite ways to dress :)

As the new season approaches, I hope you will find that perfect chambray shirt to take you from weekend brunches, to an afternoon stroll in the park, or a fun day at the beach! Happy Monday friends!
