Cherry Red with Layered Skort

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday! Summer is quickly approaching and sadly, so is the humidity. The weather in NYC has been really muggy during the week, with random bursts of rain and even thunderstorms. Thank goodness the weekends have been quite pleasant so far with plenty of sunshine, minus the stickiness. These shots were actually taken in Shanghai during my recent holiday. It was an accidental, yet delightful discovery of a little slice of serenity hidden in this city that never sleeps :)

I always find skorts to be a functional fashion piece to add to your wardrobe. This stylish hybrid offers a feminine look of a skirt plus the comfort of shorts. It’s a piece that you can easily wear to all summer outdoor events. I particularly love the periwinkle blue shade of my skort. This, in combination with the lively pattern, modern cut and the layering effect add a soft, whimsical touch to the entire outfit.
