Happy Australia Day :)

Hello everyone, happy Wednesday! :) If you are somewhere cold, I hope you are staying warm and dry; if you are currently enjoying the summer sunshine (like my Aussie friends), I am super envious, hope you are making the most out of your summer! Today's post is going to be a dedication to Australia. Many of you may know that Australia day is coming up on Jan 26 (this Sunday). This is an annual national celebration that marks the anniversary of the First Fleet of British Ships arriving in 1788 at Sydney Cove. I thought today's post would be the perfect time to share with you some of the Melbourne photos we took during my recent trip back home, and give you a small taste of one of the most livable cities in the world :)

In case you are wondering what I will be doing on Australia day in NYC, I would love to have a barbecue (yes we eat lots of that :P) at my place with my Aussie friends here!  I'm sure however that the weather is pretty much going to stop me from enjoying doing anything outdoors for more than 10 minutes. So instead, I'm planning to head to my local Australian bar and enjoy a meat pie, and maybe a sausage roll in true Aussie style :)

To all the Aussies away from home and all the Aussies from home, have a wonderful Australia Day!!
