Flower Power

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! What I thought was going to be a miserable day turned out to be great. I love it when that happens :) On gloomy days I often like to put in the extra effort to make up for the shortfall in weather, mood or circumstances. I always believe that how you dress directly influences your mood, thus, a happy outfit ensures a positive outlook for the day no matter what it may bring. To ditch the rain this morning, I thought some flower power was much needed.

I love a good set of floral prints (also seen in previous post here and here) in warmer seasons like spring and summer. I think they just go so well together, like peas in a pod.

Cut outs have also been a recent favorite of mine this summer. I love them on dresses and tops. When placed strategically, it instantly refreshes your outfit, giving them a more updated and modern vibe. Keeping with the floral theme I had going, I chose this slightly more bohemian and relaxed top with a cute little cut out on the back. I think it adds interest and a nice touch to complement the top.
