Fancy Trimmings

Hi everyone! Hope your week's off to a great start! I know Mondays are always a little tough. No matter how much we love our work, there's always that small wish the weekend could be just a little longer :) That's why on Mondays, I like to make sure that I've added something special to the outfit. Something bright, energetic and cheerful!

Spring, being the transitional season means the weather is perfect for layering without the bulk. It means swapping your thick winter coats and puffy jackets (for those who live in cold places like I do) to classic trenchcoats, tailored blazers or stylish jackets. Tweed jackets have always been a favorite in my closet (see posts here & here) and I think they are great for transitional seasons like spring and fall. I've recently acquired this little cutie just because she comes with fancy scalloped trimmings :P

When I come across jackets without collars, I'm usually really excited as I'm free to add whatever collars I like inside (e.g., peter pan, bow, wing or notched collars). Today, being a Monday, there is really no better time to add some cheerful orange into the mix. Origami collar...well, that's just a bonus!

If you ever feel like a boost on a Monday (or any day for that matter), you might be surprised what a difference your clothing can make to elevate your mood and others. I hope on those days, you adorn in lively colors, put on a fancy outfit, feel confident and know that everything will be ok! Happy Monday friends!
