Fall Leather + Floral Mix

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great Thursday! The weather in NYC is definitely getting more chilly, I'm pretty sure winter is on its way. Before this happens, I want to share one of my favorite finds for fall - the trusty leather jacket. This baby has been my go-to closet item; it's definitely getting a lot of love this season :)

I have been on a hunt for a great leather jacket for the longest time (even before this post), but was never really successful until I came across this moto-style beauty at the beginning of summer. It wasn't a hard sell despite the fact that weather since has not been cold enough to take her out for a spin, so she sat patiently in my wardrobe, waiting for her debut.
A leather jacket is what I have always considered to be a staple in any girls' wardrobe. It's super chic, functional and powerfully versatile. Think about all the transitional season days when you can just throw it on top of almost anything you wear (a dress, t-shirt, shirt, blouse) and bam...you look stylish, modern and feel confident :) On colder days, layer the leather jacket underneath a coat and you are toasty warm.

Leather is an incredibly enduring material that is strong, tough and adds that flare of edginess to your outfit. I love to use this to offset the softer and more feminine floral print. For this look, I experimented with two-tone lips just for fun, and I'm really happy with this accidental discovery ;)

I hope you go out there and enjoy everything fall has to offer (or the last bit of it) and take that leather jacket with you!
