A Golden Moment with The Tulle Skirt

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a fabulous day! I'm feeling a little fancy today and decided to put on a tulle skirt. There's nothing quite like a tulle skirt to make you feel like a little lady :P

Tulle skirts are one of my favorite skirts of all time (also seen here). They always bring back warm and funny childhood memories of me twirling around in one during dance lessons. I was never great with ballet, but it always put a smile on my face just to dance in one. I'm so glad these skirts are no longer only bound to the classrooms or the stage.

If you love the silhouette of a tulle skirt, but are wondering how to incorporate such a delicate yet elaborate piece to your everyday closet, here are some ways you can try:
  1. Balance the extra volume down the bottom with a tighter top that's a little more body hugging
  2. Tuck in your top and let the skirt sit at the smallest part of your waist. You can also tie a knot with your top to make it more of a crop top. This lengthens your legs and flatters your waist
  3. Balance the delicate tulle with tougher materials such as leather, denim/chambray, animal print or plaid
  4. Cinch in your waist with a belt (go for an embellished belt if your skirt is simple)
  5. Finally, go with unconventional color choices that are unexpected of a traditional tulle skirt

I always find tulle skirts to have that beautiful juxtaposition of soft elegance and enduring strength, such a delicate balance that makes any girl feel feminine and whimsical in one. I hope you will take a moment too, to relish their quiet beauty :)
