Neon Mish Mash

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Hope you had a relaxing weekend! I love having great weather over the weekend. It's just perfect for some outdoor action, particularly if you spend most of the week like me cooped up inside an office building. Since the weather was so pleasant, I thought I should also bring out some cheerful colours to play. Even the thought of mouthwatering colours was refreshing, after weeks of grey skies and gloomy forecast. As I scanned my wardrobe to get ready, this little dress with pockets of eye-catching neon colours popped out at me. The unique splashes of lively and playful neons are a sweet reminder that spring will soon be here! Yay! =)

The trick with neon is not to go overboard. Focus on either one large neon piece and keep the rest of the outfit relatively neutral, or a couple of smaller neon pieces here and there. For more tips and how I styled other neon outfits, check here.

For a casual dress, I often like to pair it with a blazer. For me, the blazer frames and brings structure to a more casual outfit. This is generally a quick way to achieve a more thoughtful and put together look that transforms casual, or fashion forward, weekend attire to a more work appropriate week day office outfit.

Melbourne weather is never predictable, so make the most of it while the sun's out. Don't be shy about bringing out the vibrant colours. You might just find that even in the middle of winter, a burst of injected colour energy will turn an average day good, and a good day great! =)
